Cajun Rice

Ingredients

  • 50 mililiters vegetable oil
  • 250 grams onion diced
  • 100 grams sausage
  • 150 grams okra sliced thin
  • 150 grams green pepper diced
  • 200 mililiters chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 500 grams cooked rice

Directions

  1. In a saute pan, heat the oil.
  2. Add the onions and saute until the start to turn brown.
  3. Add sausage and brown.
  4. Add okra and green pepper. Saute until vegetables soften.
  5. Add vegetable stock and seasonings. Cook until the liquid reduces by half, five minutes.
  6. Mix vegetables with cooked rice. Serve hot.
