Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Nothing says Thanksgiving like pecan pie, except maybe the turkey. This delicious version adds chocolate and bourbon for a decadent twist.

Ingredients

  • 140 grams margarine melted
  • 180 grams brown sugar
  • 150 mililiters corn syrup
  • 10 grams vanilla
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 300 grams pecans
  • 150 grams chocolate
  • splash bourbon
  • 2 prepared pie crusts

Directions

  1. Melt margarine.
  2. In your stand mixer bowl, mix brown sugar and margarine with the paddle attachment on low.
  3. Add corn syrup, vanilla.
  4. Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Melt chocolate. Add to mix.
  6. Add pecans. Add bourbon. Mix until combined.
  7. Pour mix into pie shells.
  8. Bake at 160ºC (325ºF) for 45 minutes. Pie fillings may rise like souffles, but will fall while cooling.
