Le Bifteck

lebiftekOn our recent vacation adventure, my wife and I found this little restaurant in Netanya called Le Biftek. And the next time you’re in the mood for a good, solid steak, you’ll know where to look.

There’s a small plaza of restaurants and stores on Sderot Nitza in Netanya, overlooking a view of the Mediterranean. We were seated outside and a rainbow of salatim and fresh lafah soon graced our small table. Everything was fresh and flavorful, what you would expect from any shipudiah. Our steaks came without delay. Simple, unadorned and delicious, with a generous side of french fries. Aside from a pinch of salt, the steaks needed nothing else.

We savored our pleasant, simple seaside meal, and the next time we’re in Netanya, we’ll be sure to return.

  1. We were there a couple of weeks ago… the meat was fine, the fries were REALLY good, but we found the salatim very standard and commercial-tasting…maybe they had run out of the good ones you had and ran out to the supermarket to fill it in…

  2. We were taken with the sheer number(16!!) for just the two of us. They may have been commercial, but it wasn't the 'same' matbucha, etc., so maybe it's a regional thing.

We didn't go for the salatim ;-)
